Bruce Barrios

DJ Bruce Barrios has spent more than 20 years in the mobile DJing business, providing music for more than 2,500 events. He has been named BEST EVENT DJ/MC by the VC Reporter Readers’ Poll 19 times and is referred by more hotels, country clubs, event facilities and event professionals than any other special event entertainer in Ventura County. DJ Bruce has been the red carpet host and coordinated for many Hollywood award shows including the Annual American Comedy Awards, American Comedy Honors, The Grammy Awards, The Oscars, the AFI salute to Harrison Ford, the AFI tribute to Dustin Hoffman, the Caesars Palace 30th Anniversary Celebration, The American Music Awards, The Academy of Country Music Awards, and the American Bandstand Anniversary show. Bruce was also asked to perform at the 54th Presidential Inaugural Opening Ceremonies at the White House for President Bush (and of course, he accepted!).

In addition, DJ Bruce's New Year's Eve Show at Crown Plaza Ventura Beach has sold out for the last 5 years and he has been a proud supporter of Casa Pacifica Centers for Children & Families and has been the Co-Chair and DJ/MC for the Annual Casa Pacifica Wine, Food & Brew Festival for 17 years.

Kyle Taylor

DJ Kyle Taylor began DJing in 2002. For the past 11 years he has been playing music at dances, parties, fundraisers, corporate events, school functions and over 400 weddings!

Every event he plays at is customized to suit the client’s needs. He has a very diverse style and is able to play for all crowd types. So whether you're looking for low-key or high-energy entertainment, Kyle will be able to accommodate you're needs.

Jeremy Brooks

Jeremy started working for BBP in 2012 after we noticed the enthusiasm he brought to his dancing and music. Jeremy prides himself on instilling this high energy into his work as a DJ/MC in order to create an exciting atmosphere for your event. Through studying Communications at Cal Poly SLO, he has developed excellent communication and organizational skills that will help your special day run smoothly. Being part of Bruce's team allows him to share his love of music with others.

Phil Birdsell

Phil has been a full-time professional in the music business for over 25 years as a Singer, Songwriter, Impressionist, Disc Jockey, Master of Ceremonies and Southern California Entertainer Extraordinarie. His personal experience includes performing at over 6,000 weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, birthdays, private parties and club gigs all over the United States & Southern California. As an entertainer, Phil is like having Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Engelbert Humperdinck, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, James Brown, Dean Martin and Tom Jones all in one. As a DJ / MC his style is Classy, Fresh, Fun and Smooth-Flowing, but when its dance & party time it doesn't make any difference how old or young you may be—Phil rocks the house! A one-of-a-kind-event needs a one-of-a-kind DJ / MC entertainer and that’s Phil Birdsell!

Jason Michael Henson

Jason Michael Henson, also known as "DJ 1ove" (One Love) has emerged as one of the most requested MC/DJs in Southern California. Love is the driving force behind everything he does. As he says, "love is the most powerful force in the Universe - Use IT intelligently." Jason is an intuitive music designer...not your typical club DJ. His spiritual journeys have led him to embrace his gifts of intuition with music. He can read any room and know exactly what music will fit not only the space, but also the people in that space. As an MC, he has a classy, smooth and seamless way to announce and orchestrate your event.

Jason has entertained celebrities like Burt Bacharach, Neil Peart (drummer for Rush), Wayne Brady, Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Halle Berry, Pierce Brosnan, Laila Ali (daughter of Muhammad Ali), and former Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, in addition to companies such as Pfizer, Pacific Bell, BMW, LAPD, CBS Television, Sony Pictures, Los Angeles Children's Hospital and many, many more. Jason has entertained in some of the most exotic places in the world, such as China, Aruba, Hawaii, Bahamas, St. John, and all over the U.S.

Jason is also a professional voice actor. You may have heard his voice on shows such as A&E Biography, NBC's Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Model Search, The Wayne Brady Show and many commercials. He was the founder of 3 different improv troupes in Los Angeles that performed weekly for 5 years, which gives him the ability to improvise quickly when needed. Jason has also worked behind the camera for shows such as American Idol, The Wayne Brady Show (Emmy-winning talk show), the Olympics' opening and closing ceremonies, and many awards shows. This has given him great experience in high-level event production.

Jason has entertained at over 1,100 events since 1992 and is still going strong.

Jerry Gutierrez

Jerry Gutierrez is described as “a great personality meets professionalism.”

Easy to work with and organized, his main focus is to provide you with perfect wedding entertainment that is a reflection of your style. With over 11 years of experience in both English- and Spanish-speaking events, Jerry is considered by many to be Ventura County’s preferred bilingual DJ/MC. Through seamless mixing and a low-key MC style, he is able to create and maintain an engaging and exciting atmosphere, without compromising the class and elegance you want at your wedding, while keeping the party going all night.

The Sound Effect Band

The Sound Effect band has been working in the music industry since 1978, providing entertainment for private engagements, clubs, fairs, and fund-raisers. They play a variety of styles including Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Pop, Funk, Rock and Jazz and pride themselves on their dedication to truly “live” music. All instruments are played live and NO pre-recorded background tracks are used at any performances. Each individual's outstanding talent shines through at each performance and allows the freedom to change up the groove at any given moment. This keeps them fresh and that much more ready to give you a show you'll never forget! The fact that the core members of the group have been together for over 17 years makes this possible. Having performed together for so many years also gives them the personality and "tightness" that distinguishes them from any other group. The Sound Effect Band has opened for Lakeside, Mary Jane Girls, Big Mountain, and Tierra.

Highway Starr

Highway Starr is Southern California’s premier high energy Modern country rock band. Playing today’s hottest country hits with a splash of yesterday’s favorites, this band has been tearing up the West Coast country scene!

Not just another rehashed “Bar Band,” Highway Starr has raised the standard by combining the music, attitude and showmanship in their concert-style shows throughout the west coast. Their extensive set list includes hit songs by Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Eric Church and many more!

Spawned from the outskirts of Los Angeles, the band features lead vocalists Daniel Alan along with Dave Rea on acoustic guitars and vocals. The veteran, quick-pickin’, “Uncle Marty” Wagner, rips it up on lead guitar, opposite the rolling thunder of Eric Sachs on bass and powerhouse drummer Rob Jones who rounds out their driving rhythm section.

Highway Starr performs regularly throughout the southland at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar, Canyon Club, Borderline, Brandin’ Iron, Fantasy Springs Resort and numerous corporate events. A recent private event for “The Great One” also landed the band to perform at The Bellagio, Las Vegas in 2015.

Kevin Laurence

Kevin Laurence is a talented songwriter and performer who sings and plays piano professionally. He has many years of experience as a solo act playing for private parties, weddings, corporate events, restaurants, hotels, etc. He has honed his skills playing at a high-volume, high-end restaurant piano bar and can supply any type of music for any occasion. Kevin can provide a wonderful ambiance for your event or an exciting, unique and versatile show to get the party started. Kevin's music has developed from single notes on a piano to a unique and eclectic repertoire of original and cover music. With influences such as Billy Joel, Elton John, The Beatles and countless others, he has created a sound that took the 29 year old singer-songwriter years to develop. He has successfully placed 3 original songs in a motion picture, produced and recorded 3 studio albums currently being sold and played by major online retailers, and has developed a strong presence on social media, including a rapidly growing YouTube channel with 10,000 subscribers and 2 million video views.
